1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Zoju platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Zoju provides an automated English exam preparation platform that offers practice sessions, scoring, and personalised feedback across all four skills: Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking. Zoju helps users prepare for exams such as the IELTS®, among others.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not share your account with others or allow multiple individuals to use a single account. Zoju reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, or is inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose of English exam preparation. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the service or its AI components. For a detailed list of prohibited activities, please refer to our Acceptable Use Policy at zoju.app/acceptable-use.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Zoju platform — including but not limited to writing prompts and Task 1 images, reading passages and questions, listening scripts and audio recordings, speaking prompts, scoring rubrics, sample answers, answer keys, and feedback content — is the proprietary material of Zoju, created by or for Zoju, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Zoju name, logo, and overall site design are likewise owned by Zoju. All rights are reserved. No licence to reproduce, republish, or otherwise exploit any Zoju content is granted except as strictly necessary to use the platform for your own personal exam preparation.
6. Restricted Use of Content
Without prior written permission from Zoju, you may not: (a) scrape, crawl, spider, or otherwise use any automated means to extract content from the platform; (b) redistribute, resell, republish, mirror, or publicly display any Zoju content in any form or medium; (c) use any Zoju content as training, fine-tuning, evaluation, prompt, or retrieval data for any artificial intelligence or machine learning system; (d) create derivative works, translations, or adaptations of Zoju content; or (e) remove or alter any copyright, authorship, or proprietary notices. Breach of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination, civil proceedings to recover damages, and referral to the relevant authorities.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
Zoju offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Free accounts provide unlimited access to Reading and Listening practice. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and grant additional features including AI-scored Writing and Speaking practice. Payment is processed by Stripe; Zoju does not store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel beforehand via your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. Zoju may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
8. Limitation of Liability
Zoju provides AI-generated feedback for educational purposes. We do not guarantee specific IELTS scores or outcomes. The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zoju’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to Zoju in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars (US $50), whichever is greater. In no event shall Zoju be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, regardless of the theory of liability.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zoju and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
10. Force Majeure
Zoju shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure failures, third-party AI provider outages, power failures, or labour disputes.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before changes take effect.
12. Trademark Notice

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of at least 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under any applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded by contract.
14. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Zoju’s failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zoju regarding your use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements.
